James Woodruff Obituary

BELLEFONTAINE – James S. "Scott" Woodruff, 50 of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Scott was born on Dec. 9, 1973 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late James J. and LaVonne (Hunt) Woodruff. Scott worked for Honda and retired after many years. In his free time, Scott was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes football teams. He was also a very skilled guitarist who enjoyed playing and listening to music.

He is survived by his brother, Kerry (Jodi) Woodruff; aunt, Charlotte Hitt; as well as several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Fairview Mutual Cemetery.
