URBANA – Jane Marie (Ryan) Woodruff, 71 of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Sept. 26, 2025 in Vancrest of Urbana.
Jane was born on June 24, 1954 in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Regina (Noel) Ryan.
Jane will be remembered for her kind heart, her creativity, and the love she had for her family. She enjoyed crafting and could always be found working on something special to share with others. Jane also took pride in her work, spending many years at Uhlmans and later in Dr. Ahern's office, where she made lasting friendships.
Her greatest joy, though, was her family, especially the time she spent babysitting her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Jane was also an active member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge, where she enjoyed being part of the community and spending time with friends. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Woodruff; sons, Chad (Michaelle) Woodruff, Aaron Woodruff; grandchildren, Lauren Woodruff, Grant Woodruff; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Woodruff.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Kingscreek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Post 5451, 220 E. Court Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078.

Ron, Chad, and Aaron, this world has lost a charitable and loving person. The memories I hold from our friendship as young mothers has stayed with me for my life time. She was a jem and I feel fortunate to have met her. Wishing your family comfort and peace.
