URBANA - Joyce Elaine (Prickett) Dunham, 82, of Urbana passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born April 25, 1940 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of George Prickett and Genevieve (Jenny) Warren-Prickett. Joyce graduated from Urbana High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Jerrel W. "Jerry" Dunham, on Feb. 12, 1960. Together they owned Heimann Manufacturing for many years and have now retired. Joyce had a calling to care for animals and people in need. She had a deep love for her family, she touched many lives in a positive loving way and will be greatly missed.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 62 years; children, Jennifer Dunham Young, Jerrel (Tammy) Dunham Jr., and Jeff (Lisa) Dunham; grandchildren, Adam (Stephanie) Dunham, Heather Grim, Austin (DeAsia) Dunham, Brandyn (Courtney) Dunham and Aaron (Audrey) Young; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Dunham, Madalynn Dunham, Chloe Osborne, Paris Grim, Karson Young, Boone and Letty Dunham; close family and friends, Lori Dunham, Greg Young, and her best friend Kay Evilsizor as well as numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog Sassy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Prickett.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday Nov. 28, 2022 in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hackworth officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.

Joyce was a very special lady. We were members of the North Mother's Club many years ago. We held many craft sessions & shows to benefit the students. She was so talented, generous, caring and funny. We all loved working with her. Great memories! RIP my friend.
