Lou taught me to play the tuba in 1960. I was a member of the Northeastern HS Band 1960 - 1963, Springfield North HS Band 1963 - 1965, The Ohio State University Marching Band 5 seasons 1965 - 1969, The Ohio State University Concert Band 1965 - 1968, a Civil War Centennial Band in Springfield 1963 - 1965, American Legion Post Band in Troy, New York, and maybe a few others I do not remember all of them. I visited him and Betty many times. He is the teacher who changed my life, the reason I became a music major. I am sorry he is gone, but I get to keep him forever, and he will never be lost to me.--John Linthicum
