URBANA - Lucas V. Carpenter, 27, of Urbana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was born on April 11, 1989, in Springfield, the son of Mitchell and Marjorie (Milliron) Carpenter. Along with his parents, Luke is survived by his 2 daughters, Lydia and Ava Carpenter; aunts and uncles, Christina Smucker, Russell Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Cynthia Carpenter, Sharon Savage and Sherry Farmer; grandfather, Floyd Milliron; special cousins, Sarah Nichelson, Rachel Nichelson, Nathan Heiberger, Trey Carter, Shane Carter, Raelynn Cavins, Jacquie Farmer; special friend, Justin Seelig; and numerous extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacke Milliron and Mary Ann and Gale Carpenter. Luke graduated from Ohio High Point in 2007 and worked for Durashield Bundy Company for 5 years. He loved shooting guns, being in the woods, mushroom hunting, camping or anything that had to do with being outdoors. Luke was a great friend who had an incredible sense of humor and was able to make anyone laugh. His family was always #1 and more than anything else, he loved providing for and spending time with his two beloved daughters. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 4-5p.m. with a celebration of his life beginning at 5p.m. at WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME. Since this night is all about Luke and how he touched your life, please come dressed as if you were hanging out and partying with Luke. My sincere condolences. My heart goes out to you and the girls for such a sudden loss. I only met Lucas once when when I visited my son Travis. As a mother I can't imagine the sorrow. My heart n prayers are with you.
