ROSEWOOD - Martha L. Evringham, age 90, of Rosewood, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:40 p.m. in Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney.
Born on May 18, 1924, Martha was a daughter of the late Forrest M. Russell and Lois P. (Clark) Russell Loffer. She married Charles H. Evringham on May 24, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2004 after sixty years of marriage. She is survived by a son, Keith (Jean Marie) Evringham of Colts Neck, NJ; three daughters, Kristin (Don) Sanders of St. Paris, Karen (David) Schwarm of DeGraff, and Karla (Steve) Jenkins of St. Paris; thirteen grandchildren, Chad Burroughs, Ty (Heidi) Burroughs, Andy (Angela) Burroughs, Kevin (Megan) Evringham, Andrea Evringham, Jason (Julie) Schwarm, Joe and Mollie Schwarm, Aaron (Bri) Jenkins, Carter Jenkins, Ian Evringham, Ashley (Todd) Evringham, and Jacob Evringham; and eleven great grandchildren, Erin, Jack, Benjamin, Logan, Ryan, Jenna, Kasche, Owen, Ethan, Tristin and Tavian.
In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a son, Kent Evringham, a son-in-law, James S. Harmon, an infant brother, Karl Russell, and a sister Elaine Rossi.
Martha was a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church and a 1942 graduate of Rosewood High School. She enjoyed being a member of the Rosewood Homemakers Club. She was a founder and past member of the St. Paris Antique Study Club. She worked for ten years as a cashier at Graham North, Rosewood, OH and was a homemaker.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, OH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rosewood United Methodist Church with Reverend Andy Leighty presiding. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
