URBANA – Pamela Darlene Chester, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Nov. 12, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born on Dec. 4, 1943 in Urbana, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Geraldine (Foy) Blanton.
For over four decades, she devoted herself to her career at Grimes Honeywell. Outside of her professional life, Pamela found joy in her many hobbies. She loved sewing, crafting, nurturing her garden, and relished in shopping and dining out.
Pamela's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jill Dean, and her cherished son, Ralph Chester. Her legacy continues through her adored granddaughter, Aimee (Jacob) Snyder, and her great-grandchildren, Sarah, Sophia, and Sawyer Snyder, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life. Pamela also had a close bond with her sister, Janet Todd, and her sister-in-law, Judith Chester Fellers, as well as her nephews, Tony Todd, Judson Chester, and Will Chester and special friend, Art Arms.
She was predeceased by her husband, Danny Chester, whose love she carried in her heart.
Pamela's life will be celebrated in a Memorial Gathering held on Nov. 20, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at WALTER AND LEWIS FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting https://donate.cancer.org/.
