Ramon Johnson Obituary
URBANA - Ramon E. Johnson, 84, of Estero, FL, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice on Sunday April 30, 2017. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Findlay, OH, a son of the late Homer F. Johnson and Dorothy Stanley Johnson.
Ramon graduated from Ohio State University dental school and practiced many years in Urbana, Ohio. He was a member of Urbana United Methodist Church and a longtime Rotarian. He did mission work in Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico and India. He loved to travel the world, play golf as much as possible and was an avid gardener as well as a big Ohio State fan.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Johanna, and his children Christine Ann (Robert) Harmison, Randall (Carole) Johnson, Paula (Michael) Kertes, all of Ohio, and Brian (Kristin) Johnson of South Carolina. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Combs.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Urbana United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Jim Lillibridge officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ALS at National Headquarters, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005 or webdc.alsa.org for national research or the Wherehouse, an outreach food pantry with the Urbana United Methodist Church. https://urbanaumc.securegive.com/SG/WebOnline/Home/Index?WO=urbanaumc.

Dear Jodi, Chris Ann, Randy, Paula, & Brian...I am very sorry for your loss & wish to say that Ray was not only a good neighbor, but also a longtime friend to the Holden family. Ray & Jodi gave me a wedding gift from a trip to Italy...I still enjoy this lovely bowl! On behalf of my parents, Travis & Mildred, as well as the rest of my family, I extend our deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry of the passing of Ray.. He was such a wonderful man! I used to love to go trick or treating at his house when I was little to get toothbrushes. Condolences to the entire family...

Dear Paula, Mike and Hannah,
Dan and I are so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Ray and Jodi a few years back during my annual trip to Fort Myers Beach. We all enjoyed a great dinner at Rode's and finished the evening off with ice cream from The Royal Scoop. Please extend our sincere and deepest sympathy to Jodi and your entire family.
