WORTHINGTON - Shirley Grace (Oswald) Putnam, 89, of Dublin, Ohio died Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Shirley was born March 31, 1929 in Buffalo, New York to the late, Charles & Grace Oswald. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James K. Putnam; daughter, Laurel A. Clouse (Roger Hawk) of Statesboro, GA; son, Charles L. Putnam (Karen) of Dublin, OH; grandchildren, Rob Clouse (Brandy), Chris Clouse (Kim ), Patrick Putnam (Julie), Kevin Putnam, and Annie Putnam; great-grandchildren, Brayden Clouse, Landon Clouse, Addison Clouse, and Mason Clouse. She was preceded in death by Marguerite Oswald (stepmother); William L. and Verda K. Putnam (in-laws). Shirley grew up in Kenmore, New York and graduated from Kenmore High School in 1947. She attended Wittenberg University, where she met Jim. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She and Jim married in 1950 and resided in the Columbus area for the rest of her life. Shirley was an active member and past President of the Women's Board of Pilot Dogs. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church since 1950 where she sang in their choir for 34 years. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, and watching sporting events. She was proud of her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Friends may call Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, OH where the funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, can be made to the Pilot Dogs, 625 W. Town St. Columbus, OH 43215 or Ascension Lutheran Church..
