Sue Ferryman Obituary

URBANA - Sue Avanelle (Burson) Ferryman, 92, of Urbana passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in her home.

She was born June 24, 1929 in West Liberty, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Robbins) Burson. She was a graduate of West Liberty High School. Sue married her husband Millard E. Ferryman, on August 30, 1952. They were married for 65 years before his passing. Her life was taking care of her family. Sue was a member of the Urbana United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Tami (Wayne) Maggart and Tina Hock; her sons, Larry (Robin) Ferryman and Timothy E. Ferryman; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephews, Jill Gebel, Jack (Carol) Ferryman and Jeff Ferryman as well as lifelong friend, Joan Gingrey.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant daughter, Beverly Sue; her sisters, Louise (Dick) King, Ethel (Harold) Ferryman, and Lynda Chapman; her brother, Howard (Mae) Burson; special friend, Jim Gingrey.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022 in the mausoleum at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Wherehouse, 110 W. Church Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
