Sue Markin Obituary

URBANA – Sue Markin, 80 of Urbana, passed away on April 30, 2025. She was born on Feb. 26, 1945 in Urbana, the daughter of John Paul and Betty (Wagner) Markin.

Sue was a graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School class of 1963 and had been employed at Walmart as a department manager for 22 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids who were her life. She also loved to shop.

Survivors include her children Lisa (Puckett) Fuson and Jason McCain, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister; Barbara McAlexander and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Kelly Puckett, granddaughter, Rachelle Puckett, great-grandson, Denver Carson, sister, Connie Smith, brothers, Jerry Markin and Tom Markin, niece, Cynthia Horsley, sister-in-law, Marge Markin, brother-in-law, John McAlexander, first ex-husband, Robert Puckett, second ex-husband, Carl McCain, and her parents.

A celebration of Sue's life will be held at a time and place to be announced. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.

So sorry to hear of Sue passing.She was great friends with my sister in law Sue Daniels. We met in Mobile home court when we moved in. She will be missed. Our condolences to the family. Kenny and Marcia McGraw #73
