Ann R. (Benedetto) DeCarr 1951 - 2018
NEW HARTFORD - Mrs. Ann R. (Benedetto) DeCarr, age 66, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at her home.
Ann was born in Utica, on November 23, 1951, a daughter of the late Paul and Angeline Benedetto. Ann was raised and educated in Utica and attended Utica Free Academy (UFA). At one time, Ann held a position with the Utica Cutlery Company.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, John P. Makuch and Robert J., Sr. and Brandy DeCarr, all of PA; three grandchildren, Anthony Matteson, of Ilion, Gerald Makuch and Taylor DeCarr, both of PA; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Barreto, Angeline DeCarr and Julius Ordonez; a brother, Paul Benedetto, of Utica; and a half- sister, Marian Robbins, of Endicott. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including, Tracy Robbins; and cousins, including Jimmy Benedetto. Mrs. DeCarr was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert J. DeCarr, Jr.
Her funeral will be held on Sunday, at 4 p.m., at The Matt Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, from 2-4 p.m., at the Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
