Deborah Crouse Obituary

Deborah (Ferraro) Crouse
Utica
Deborah L. Debbie (Ferraro) Crouse, age 49, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 14, 2011 in the comfort and privacy of her home. Born in New Hartford on May 1, 1961, Debbie is the daughter of Leo and Frieda (Desiato) Ferraro. Raised and educated in Utica, she attended T.R. Proctor High School and graduated from M.V.C.C. where she received her associates degree in Human Services. At one time she was married to Raymond Guarno and to that union came the blessing of their son. Debbie worked as a self-employed dog groomer, operating VIP Grooming for many years, and her love for animals was evidenced in her interaction with them. In 1989, she married Robert Crouse with whom she shared many years and were partners in lifes ventures. Concurrently, she was employed as a customer counter clerk at UPS. Debbie was a proud mother, a friend in need, a woman with a gracious heart, and someone you could count on. She was comfortable with the person she had become in life. She was blessed with a bright, intuitive persona, a sense of humor, and witty one-liners which made her the center of laughter. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom picking, card and board games, games of chance, embroidery, and was a challenging pool player. Her personal spirituality was held deep in her heart, and she was a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Debbie is survived by her parents, Leo and Frieda Ferraro; her son, Raymond Guarno, Jr.; and her sister, Lori A. Ferraro and Bill Sequin. She shared a special and loyal relationship with her uncle, Frank Chic Ferraro. Additionally close to her heart was her nephew and godchild, Sean Finnerty; great-nieces and great-nephews, Marianna, Nicholas, and Jacob; her loving companion, Frank Detran; her longtime and close friend, John Lucenti; aunts, uncles and her cousins, especially Mark Ferraro. She has joined her many friends who preceded her in death. The family is grateful to Dr. F. Tabrizi who shared a special professional concern for Debbie, and her loyal customers who she served for many years. Visitation will be held Monday (today) from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Debbies funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Tuesday morning at 9:30 from the funeral home and at 10:30 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Mons. Francis Willenburg. Committal prayers and interment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery. Online tributes at: www.EannaceFuneralHome.com
