Loving Father, Grandfather and Uncle
UTICA - Dennis W. Horgan, 79, from passed away, unexpectedly, surrounded by his family on October 26, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care.
Dennis was a compassionate, kind, loving and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He was always there to help and support his family and gave selflessly to those less fortunate.
Dennis is survived by the love of his life, Anna Nicotera of Utica, for 51 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Mike Deck, New Hartford, Colleen and Bill Wuest, Holland Patent and Maryanne Nicotera, Utica; grandchildren, Olivia Deck and Mikelle Deck, Tyler, Carter, Patrick and Will Wuest, David Betti and Brandy Gerlach, and great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Camilla Betti; sisters; Fran Brockett , Betty Jean Stapleton, Judy Hall and Rosemary Chazik; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Helena Elizabeth Horgan; stepbrother, Bob Palmer, Sr.; and granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Hanna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Historic Old St. John's Church. The family will receive guests following Mass. There are no calling hours.
A special thank you to Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare ICU and Allen Calder nurses for their very loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers, please consider remembrances, in Dennis' name, to Historic Old St. John's Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the Mass.
