LITTLE FALLS - The man. The myth. The legend. Edward P. Bouchard, Jr., 61, passed away peacefully on March 22nd, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on September 5th, 1956 to Edward and Shirley Bouchard and grew up in Mohawk, NY. He was a graduate of Mohawk Central High School, Class clown of 1975. Ed lived in Stratford, NY and ran his own business, Bouchard Electric, for most of his life. He then moved to Woodsville, NH to be the Director of Facilities at Cottage Hospital.
Ed loved making people laugh (and cry) with his sarcastic sense of humor. Some of his favorite times were kayaking at Stewarts Landing, walking the beach in Maine, playing a broad range of music at the highest volume and spending time with family. He shared many laughs and adventures with his partner, Lori. They enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things together. He loved spoiling his children and grandchildren, helping with odd jobs around the house, buying donuts and coffee on family vacations and making holidays extra special. On a summer day you could find him at almost any roadside ice cream stand satisfying his sweet tooth. Ed impacted more lives than he knew, bringing joy to those who surrounded him.
He is survived by his partner of nine years, Lori Hughes; mother, Shirley; daughter, Amber (Steve) Finkle; two sons, Nicholas (Chrissy) and Andrew (Kristen); three brothers, Jeff (Donna), David (Patricia) and John (Teresa); two sisters, Kim (Dean) Trumbull and Julie (Roy) Johnson; four grandchildren, Luke, Reagan, Renee and Max along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his father, Edward Bouchard, Sr.; and a brother, Jimmy Bouchard.
He will be forever loved, always missed and never replaced. A private Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, March 30th, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Ed, can be made to the Ronald McDonald House and the Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church of Herkimer, NY.
