Edward T. Pierce, 74, of Ilion, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare. Ed was born on June 19, 1934, in Utica, the son of Edward and Mary Finn Pierce. He was a 1952 graduate of Utica Free Academy. Ed retired from Special Metals after 40 years of employment. Surviving are his former wives, Nancy and Patricia; children, Tricia Lynn Shivers and her husband, Steven, Las Vegas, Donna Woolschlager and her husband, Gary, Syracuse, Michael Pierce and his wife, Diane, New York City, Nancie DesPres and her husband, Kim, Albany, Alison Bruce and her husband, Doug, Cornwall, NY, and Edward Pierce, Utica; in-laws, Cynthia and John Creo, Linda and Del Martin, and John and Darlene Siedlecki, all of Utica. Ed also leaves four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Note Visitation and Service Change In keeping with Ed's wishes, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica, at a time to be announced later in the week. Remembrances in Eds name may be made to HALO Animal Rescue, 5231 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85017 or the Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502.
