Eleanor J. Streeter, 66, of Madison, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at her winter home in N. Fort Meyer, FL, after a long illness. She was born July 13, 1948, in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Washburn) Hungerford. Eleanor was the valedictorian of the Morris Central School Class of 1966 and worked for La Monica Beverages and NYSEG before retiring. On June 12, 1971, Eleanor married William (Bill) Streeter in the town of Mt. Vision. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Bill, and son, Michael and Rhonda Streeter, and four granddaughters, Samantha, Amanda, Sarah and Alayna, all of Bergen, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Mariel Tremain and companion, Robert Hyzer, of Oneonta; three brothers, Dennis and Jane Hungerford, of Conowingo, MD, Timothy and Diane Hungerford, of Laurens, and Dale and Kathy Hungerford, of Morris; her Goddaughter, Angela Shoemaker, of Clarence; her sister-in-law, Linda Van Dusen, of Syracuse; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Streeter, of Wells Bridge, and Leslie Streeter, of New Hartford; and many nephews and nieces. Eleanor also leaves three dogs that she loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as determined by the family. In memory of Eleanor Streeter, a donation can be made to The Hamilton Animal Hospital Assistance Fund at 2316 New York 12B, Hamilton, NY 13346, or your local Animal Shelter.
