Eric T. Konefal, 63, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 14, 2010. He was born in Utica on April 7, 1947, the son of Edmund and Genevieve Rygielski Konefal, and graduated from Whitesboro Central High School. He then attended and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Economics. He also attended the University of Southern California at G.A.F.B., where he received a Masters of Science Degree in Systems Management. Eric was employed with General Electric Co. for many years and also worked with various other companies and organizations throughout the area until his retirement. He will be remembered as an animal lover and one who was dedicated to various environmental causes throughout his lifetime. Eric was also actively involved in the community of Norway, NY. His survivors include his son, Kristopher Konefal, of FL; a sister, Irene Konefal, of Malden, MA; his aunt, Aurelia McConnell, of Whitesboro; several cousins; and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents. Eric, may you rest in peace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Erics Memorial service which will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Center Universalist Society, Route 29, Salisbury Center. Private burial will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society, P.O.
