Frances Adamczyk, 94, a longtime Utica resident passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Poland, Europe on January 13, 1920 the daughter of Walenty and Wiktoria Stochla. On June 11, 1922 she married John Adamczyk in Germany; the couple came to the U.S. in 1961. John died on January 4, 2009. Frances was formerly employed with the Tower City Dress Co. Babci will be sadly missed bay her family and all who knew her. Her survivors include her daughters, Monika and Ronald Buda, of Marcy, and Bernadette Scharbach and her companion, Stephen Koscinski, of Utica and a sister, Stasia Kowal, of Poland. Also included are her five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her two sisters Aniela and Zofia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at the Church of the Sacred Heart/St. Marys Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Kowalczyk Funeral Home 284 Main Street New York Mills.
