George S. Dallos 1929 - 2016
WHITESBORO - George S. Dallos, 86, of Whitesboro, NY, died August 27, 2016, at the Lutheran Home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born on December 17, 1929, in Norfolk, NY, the son of Paul and Francis Dallos. He served in the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He married Martha E. Davis on August 11, 1951, in Springfield, Tennessee. He worked for the NY Telephone Company for 35 years. He was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro. At one time, he was a Mason. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and round dancing. He also enjoyed woodworking.
As a devoted husband and father, he is survived by his children, Connie Putrelo, Mike and Bonnie Dallos, and Joe and Kathleen Dallos; grandchildren, Seth and Jenn Putrelo, Shannon Coy, Sarah and Lindsay Dallos, Jennifer and Chris Ostrander, and Vanessa Dallos; and great-grandchildren, Zoe and Liam Putrelo, and Quinntin Ostrander. He was predeceased by his parents and five brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the Lutheran Home for their care in his last days; also, Dr. V. Kandiah for his care and concern.
Calling hours are Thursday, September 1, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., with a short service after 7:00, at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro. Interment will be in Norfolk, NY.
