Helen Asfur Obituary
SYRACUSE - UTICA
Helen B. Asfur, 83, a resident of the Rosewood Nursing Home in Syracuse, formerly of Matthews Ave., Utica, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the home.
Helen was born January 17, 1930, in Utica, the daughter of Samuel and Ameena (Baker) Asfur. She was raised locally and educated in Utica schools. Helen had held clerical positions with Foster Paper Co. and then later with M.V.C.C. She was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Church in Utica.
Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Asfur, Sarah Centro, Ann Robilotta, Tony Asfur and Mary Asfur. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including her special nephew and his wife, Frank, Sr., and Kathleen Centro, Oneida.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
Those wishing may donate to the Alzheimer's Association in Helen's memory.
