John Kogut Obituary

John S. Kogut
New Hartford
John Sherrill Kogut, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2012. His beloved granddaughter, Alexandra Gerace Kogut, and the Lord welcomed him into the kingdom of heaven. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford, NY. The family will greet friends at the conclusion of the Mass. John is survived by his wife, Barbara; his brothers, Norman, Walter and Peter; and sister-in-law, Christine. He is treasured by his children, Kelly Kogut and CJ Weinschreider, Mark and Becky Kogut, Amy (Kogut) and Tom Klempay, and Christopher and Shahiba Kogut. His grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Sydney, Oscar, Charlie, Rayka and Calvin will miss their "Grandpa Johnny" - his laugh, his smile, his hugs. Many, many loving extended family and friends will remember him with the highest regard. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed to the Youth Exchange Program - Rotary Club of Utica, PO Box 323, Washington Mills, NY 13479, to establish a memorial award. Arrangements are with Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, New Hartford. Online expressions of sympathy may be left at: www.dfwefh.com
