Joseph Lacoco Szabo

Joseph Lacoco Szabo, 68, of Beaumont, formerly of Las Vegas, died Thursday, February 14, 2013. He was born on March 28, 1944, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Pearl and Joseph Szabo. Joe was an actor and did several movies, including Casino and Vegas Vacation. He was also a Wolfman Jack Impersonator. He enjoyed riding his Harley across the USA with his best friend Ron and going to the casinos. Joe loved life and he loved people. He would do anything to help others. Joe was always the first person to lend a helping hand when someone needed it. He will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Joe and just know that you were loved by so many people. Survivors include his wife, Allison Szabo; children, Joseph Joey Szabo, Marissa Szabo, and Christine Potter, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Daniel Szabo of Great Falls, Montana; seven grandchildren; mother, Pearl Oesau; and brother, Frederick Oesau, both of Evanston, Illinois; stepchildren, Dillon Robinson, Hayden Robinson, Bayly Robinson, Mason Robinson, and Madison Sprong, all of Beaumont; and special nephew, whom he loved like a son, Lonny Arnone of Apache Junction, Arizona. He is preceded in death his son in 2003, Michael Szabo, A gathering of Mr. Szabo's family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013, at First Christian Church, 175 Mitchell Street, Sour Lake. His committal will follow at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
