Kathleen Mulcahy Obituary
CORNELIUS, NC - Kathleen L. Mulcahy (Mulchy), 67, passed away suddenly on December 2, 2016.
Kathleen was born on December 14, 1948 in Utica, NY, daughter of Bud and Betty (McGuirl) Mulchy. She was educated and graduated from St. Francis deSales School.
In her younger years, she worked at The Irish House of McGuirl, the family owned restaurant, where she found a lifelong love for cooking.
Kathleen was always the life of a party with both her food and wonderful stories. She always made everyone laugh and was loved by many. Throughout the years, Kathleen worked both in and out of her home with jobs that took her from Utica to Arizona and to North Carolina. Kathy always joked that she moved so many times, she had her life possessions down to nine boxes.
Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca McWilliams (Jason) and Megan Barton, both of NC; son, Daniel Noma, Jr. (Michelle), of AZ; grandchildren, Colin Mc Williams, NC, Madison, Isabelle and Daniel Noma, III, AZ; brothers, Mike (Sheryl) Gossin, Buddy (Mary) Mulchy and Tim (Mary) Mulchy; brother-in-law, Jack McCarthy; and sister-in-law, Fran Mulchy. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Her sister, Carol McCarthy, and brother, Tom Mulchy, predeceased Kathleen.
The family would like to invite family and friends to a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Utica College Newman Center, 1600 Burrstone Rd., Utica. An Irish Wake of Celebration will follow at 12:00 at Tom Cavallo's in New Hartford.

I am so sorry I will not be able to attend, but I am extremely happy that Kathy and I reunited on FB after so many years. The memories we shared of our school days right from kindergarten through graduation. My sincere condolences to the family Kathy was always a joy to be around,

I haven't seen or talked with Kathy since high school and it sounds like it's my loss. I remember Kathy as a funny, happy- go- lucky girl when we both went to school at St. Francis. Time passes so quickly....
