Lillian L. Dousharm, 85, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Faxton St. Lukes Health Care in New Hartford. She was born on December 13, 1924, in Utica, a daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Thompkins) Bowen. On January 4, 1943, she married Bernard Dousharm, Sr., a blessed union of over 50 years. Mr. Dousharm died on December 4, 1993. Lillian was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who always put her familys needs before hers. She was an avid reader and she loved animals. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Topor and her husband, Roger, of Utica, Bernard Dousharm, Jr., of Whitesboro, and Scott Dousharm, of New Hartford. She also leaves her grandchildren, Tammy Yager and her husband, Steven, Sandra Shaw, Brian Dousharm and his wife, Amanda, Bret Dousharm, Amanda Randall and her husband, Brian, and great-grandchildren, Griffin, Jaden, Kali Jade, Brooklyn, Haley and Brian. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Ford. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please consider the Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, NY 13502, in her memory. Arrangements are with the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Whitesboro.
