Louis T. Jennings, 83, of Rome was reunited with his beloved Helen on June 21, 2013, with his loving family at his side. Louie was born on February 14, 1930, in Pulaski, N.Y., a son of Elery and Minnie Gregory Jennings. He was united in marriage to Helen Marquette on June 28, 1952 in St. Peters Church, a blessed union of 57 years until her death on February 24, 2010. Louie was also predeceased by his daughter, Patty Magnanti. Lou retired from Griffiss Air Force Base in 1985. He proudly served in the United States Navy, New York Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve from 1947-1990. He was a member of St. Peters Church. Surviving Lou are his four daughters, Karen (Robert) Pazdur, Joanne Mullen, Luann Jennings and Deborah (Timothy) Lambert; three sons, David, Mark (Sophie) and Jeffrey (Robin) Jennings; a son-in-law, James Magnanti; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom affectionately called him Papa. He is also survived by three sisters, Laura Hunter, Ann (Frank) Blunt and Millie (John) Souva, three brothers, Elery Jennings, Ron (Carol) Jennings and Richard (Connie) Jennings; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Roe; and many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Art Lyman, Carl Krumbach and Al Kipfer. Lou was predeceased by a brother, Edward Jennings and sister, Betty Weisenberger. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 A.M at St. Peters Church, Rome. Calling hours will be held on Sunday 4-7 PM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, 418 North George Street, Rome.
