Louis Ruggiero Obituary
DEERFIELD - Louis J. Ruggiero, Jr., 72, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the St. Luke's Home.
He was born on July 13, 1945 in Utica, the son of Louis and Mary Anita (Roy) Ruggiero, Jr. and attended Utica Free Academy. After school, Louis proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. In the summer of 1988, he married the former Estelle Cicchelli in Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica. Mrs. Ruggiero passed away in June of 2003. Louis was employed, for many years, in the maintenance departments at several state run facilities.
Louis had many passions in life. He enjoyed fishing at Sylvan Beach, Black River and White Lake. Louis collected Corvettes and Harleys. His favorite "Vette" was his '69, but his customized Sportster he was most proud of.
Surviving are his fiancée, Joanne Bicking, Herkimer; daughters, Pamela Ruggiero, Frankfort and Denise (Mark) Brandal, Rome; sons, Louis (Pauline) Ruggiero, Jr., Utica, Timothy (Lizbeth) Ruggiero, FL and Joseph (fiancée, Stephanie Wormuth) Ruggiero, Ilion; grandchildren, Matthew, Owen, Alexandra, Evie, Connor and Carson. He was predeceased by sisters, Marie and Patricia.
Louis' family would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Memorial services will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 6 p.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice & Palliative Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral homes.

Most of Louie's friends and relatives don't know me, but he and I hung together at Chuck's near UFA. Chuck's was an oasis from the daily grind at school! We smoked and had sodas and enjoyed each other's company. I also worked with Louie at Univac for a few years before heading into the service. I tried to locate Louie awhile back in Utica a few years ago but didn't know where he was. So long friend! I enjoyed our time together. Pete
