Mrs. Marjorie S. Greshle
Charlotte, NC
Mrs. Greshle, 91, of Charlotte, NC, died December 21, 2009, at Sunrise at Eastover. The daughter of the late Kenneth and Bessie Mae Bowman, she was born October 7, 1918, in Nelliston, N.Y. She was a retired office administrator with Luxuray, Inc., having worked at its offices in Fort Plain, N.Y., and New York City. Mrs. Greshle was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Charlotte and a former member of Fort Plain United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Art-Wel Otsquago Chapter No. 208, in Amsterdam, N.Y. Mrs. Greshle was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Spencer, of Nelliston, and her second husband, Albert Greshle, of Frankfort, N.Y. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Bowman, of Nelliston. Mrs. Greshle is survived by her daughter, Jean Utter, of Charlotte; grandsons, James Utter and John Utter, both of Charlotte; her niece, Dorothy Bowman Davidson, of Springfield, MO; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be next spring at Fort Plain (N.Y.) Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Lowe Funeral Home of Matthews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church, 4305 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28205, or Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
