Mark Intino Obituary

Mark A. Intino 1944 - 2016
Mark A. Intino, 71, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Utica, passed away at MountainView Hospital, on Monday, January 18, 2016, with friends and family by his side.
He was born November 5, 1944, in Utica, NY, the son of the late Frank and Anna (Costa) Intino, and was a graduate of T.R Proctor High School and SUNY Oswego. For many years, Mark was a stockbroker in California, and had spent the past 26 years as a financial advisor in Las Vegas, until retiring in 2011.
Mark was of the Catholic faith, had a deep love for family and friends, and was incredibly generous to those around him. He served for two years in the Peace Corps in Malaysia, in the late 1960s, was an avid sports fan all his life, and also enjoyed video poker, good movies and music, and live concerts and theater performances.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Kim Intino, of Montgomery Village, MD; his brother and sister-in-law, Gates and Eliza Intino, of Redondo Beach, CA; his sister-in-law and nephew, Linda Intino and Paul C. Intino, and family, of Utica; his uncle and aunt, Alphonso and Mary Stiffa, of Utica; his aunt, Jane Melchiorre, of Utica; his niece, Mary Ann Curro, of St. Paul, MN; and several cousins. Mark is also survived by many dear friends on both coasts, and was especially close to his buddies, Vivian Nash and Richard Colasanti, of Las Vegas, who never left his side at the hospital.
Mark was predeceased by his brother, Paul F. Intino, of Utica; his uncle, Mark A. Intino, of Utica; other aunts and uncles; and Kim's mother, his ex-wife, with whom he remained friends throughout their lives, Lola J. Longo, of Utica.
Mark's wishes were to be cremated with no memorial services.
Those wanting to honor him, may do so by making a contribution to one of the following organizations: the Paralyzed Veterans of America, any charity that protects homeless and abused animals, or any charity that promotes the conservation of tigers, an animal that always fascinated him.

I am sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I knew him briefly from 1977 to 1978 while we were both in training in NYC to be fixed income salesmen at Loeb Rhoades which eventually became Lehman Brothers. He was a great guy! Please accept my belated condolences. Bill Fry

My Dad was the best Dad ever. Even though most of our time together was long distance, he was a better Father at 3,000 miles away than some are under the same roof.
