Mary C. Seymour, 100, of Barringer Road, Ilion, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Valley Health Services in Herkimer. Funeral services for Mary will be held on Friday (today), October 25, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Second Street, Ilion, with Fr. John Bassett officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort. In keeping with Mary's wishes, there are no calling hours. Friends are asked to consider memorials to St. Augustine's Church in Mary's memory. Envelopes will be available at church or the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego Street, Ilion. I knew Mrs. Seymour a very long time ago, and always remember her as a very kind and caring person. John, may your many loving memories help you through this difficult time and keep her close to your heart as you continue to live your life touching other people with your beautiful voice.

Mary was a great first cousin to Phyllis O'Shea Palladino, and to Patricia O'Shea. They all loved to share memories from long long ago about Edith Butler O'Shea, Mary's aunt, and Phyllis and Pat's mother. I will miss the sharing. Mary was a wonderful person. Thoughts are with the family.
