Sudhir Potluri Obituary
CLINTON - Sudhir C. Potluri, 66, a longtime resident of Clinton, NY, passed away on May 1, 2021.
He was born in Andhra Pradesh, India and educated at Gulbarga Medical College, where he played on the badminton team. After graduating from medical school and marrying his wife, Nirmala, he moved to the United States and completed his ob-gyn residency at Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC. He spent most of his career as a physician in Central New York, delivering many of the area's babies, first at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group and then his own medical practice and A.O. Fox Hospital.
An avid golfer, he played in many local tournaments and won a few of them, too.
Dr. Potluri is survived by his wife; sister; son; daughter; son-in-law; granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and many more loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at the Cedar Pavilion, Sherrill Brook Park, New Hartford.

Both Norma and I fondly remember Sudhir as he always was within our small community graciously exuding his charm with smile and laughter. The world changes, but our pleasant memories of Sudhir with his wife Nirmala do remain in our heart.

I am very sad to hear of Dr. Pots passing. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be alive he saved my life. He didn't give up on us and a yr later I became pregnant again. My late husband and I thought of him very fondly and are Truly grateful for him. He really was an amazing man

Saddened to read of Sudhir's passing. I was chief of obstetrics and gynecology at St. Elizabeth Hospital when he arrived and recall quite well working with him early on. My sincere sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

This is so sad. He delivered all four of my babies through cesarean section. Those babies are now ages 21-26.
He was the most caring brilliant doctor I ever had the honor of knowing. Prayers to his family. Heaven has truly gained an angel.

I worked with Dr Potluri for many years both at St Elizabeth and St lukes. He, by far, was my favorite doctor to work with. I am so saddened by his passing. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family

He was an accomplished surgeon and good friend. He was one of the gynecologist that you were happy to see for emergency surgery in the middle of the night. He will be missed.
