Thomas Pavlot Obituary
Clinton
Thomas L. Pavlot, 65, of Kirkland Ave, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 5, 2012, after a wonderful day of fishing. He was born on March 28, 1947, to Thomas P. and Louise Overrocker Pavlot. He was a graduate of West Winfield Central School and Simmons Institute of Funeral Service. He was married to Diane Protzman until her death in 1984. On August 23, 1985 he was united in marriage to Jill Lauber. They shared 27 years of love and friendship, and enjoyed every moment together. Tom was the President of Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., and retired in 2008 after over 40 years in the funeral service. He was a past officer of Clinton Fire Department where he was an active member since 1977. Tom was also Vice-President of Clinton Cemetery Association, a member of Tri-County Funeral Directors Association and Stone Presbyterian Church and its choir. He was an avid fisherman, who greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially at Lake Bonaparte and spending time with his family and friends. Tom lived life to the fullest and was the consummate gentleman. The twinkle in his eye and his radiant smile was infectious. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill; five children, Tom and Stephanie Pavlot, Jr., of Deerfield, Deli and Bob Rogers, of Clinton, Krystal L. Pavlot, of Utica, Joseph T. Pavlot, of Virginia, and Paige Ellen Pavlot, of Clinton; four grandchildren, Taylor Royce-Pavlot and Morgan Royce-Pavlot, both of Corning, Olivia Elaine Rogers, of Clinton, and Connor-Jon Pavlot, of Deerfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Doris Pavlot, of Waterville, and Edward and Joan Pavlot, of Bridgewater; his mother-in-law, Rosalie Lauber; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joleen and UrsWalthert, Jeff Lauber, Jay and Renee Lauber, and W. John Lauber; his nieces, nephews, many cousins and dear friends. All are invited to call from 4-8pm on Monday (today), October 8, 2012 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton, with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Clinton Fire Department or The Root Farm in Tom's memory. Quite a shock talking to Suellen this PM (10/07/12) and finding out about the passing of Father/Husband Bud.
Knew him many years through his courtship and resultant marriage to my cousin Diane.
We, the ever expanding Sango/Protzman family with all our girl and boy friends, spent many a holiday or other social event talking, drinking, eating and laughing as everyone imagines a wonderful gathering full of friends and family should ideally occur.
All my thoughts to a man who survived a terrible tragedy and persevered to raise his initial and future families with love, warmth and compassion that so epitomised his dealings with all of Humanity.

Dear Della and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your Dad were so kind to me when I loss my son in a terrible fire at his residents 3-years ago. Your Fathers kindness as well as yours will never be forgotten. Also one day I was driving on Kirkland ave and there was a car accident and your Dad stayed with the women and helped her till the fire department came he was a very special person and will be missed by all who were touched by his kindness. Dear Jill and family, the shock of learning of Tom's death hasn't fully sunk in yet. What ever will I do this spring when I won't get that call from Tom saying, "Hi, Rox, We are coming to camp and need it cleaned, like yesterday"! We will all miss him so much. Such a happy man with that big smile, I don't think I ever saw him when he wasn't smiling.

Words cannot say enough to say how VERY sorry I am to hear about Tom. He was always the gentleman (and a gentle man) and always had such a great smile. We went through school together and even knew each other before school days living next door to his Uncle Pete. We had a wonderful time talking about the "good old days" at Pete's funeral.
