Walter Andela, age 78, husband of Dorothy (Hoekstra), went to be with his Lord Thursday, April 16, 2015, with family surrounding him. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Nicholas(Arlene), Andrew(Linda), Kenneth(Diane), Beverly(Steve), Joanne, John(Paula) and Mike(Heidi); 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard(Judy); a brother-in-law, Woody; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Andrew, Peter, Louis, Agnes, Trina, Gertrude and Jane. Calling hours will be in the Richfield Springs Bible Church, on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the church at 12:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MS Fight Club (Multiple Sclerosis), c/o Arlene Andela, 473 Cty Hwy 23, West Winfield, NY 13491, or the Bassett Cancer Institute, 1 Atwell Rd, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
