William Rose Obituary

William (Bill) Louis Rose 1951 - 2017
Regional Sales Rep., Heidelberg USA
OLATHE, KS - William (Bill) Louis Rose, 65, passed away on January 21, 2017, in Olathe, Kansas.
Bill was born on St. Patrick's Day, 1951, in Boonville, NY, to Paul and Dorothea Rose, who lived in Forestport, NY.
Bill attended public school in Forestport and Boonville, NY, and graduated from Adirondack Central School in 1969. He attended Mohawk Valley Community College.
During Bill's youth, he enjoyed scholastic sports, music and played drums in numerous bands, and loved riding motorcycles and driving fast or vintage cars. In Bill's adult years, he also enjoyed golf and tennis, and was devoted to the numerous pets which he owned throughout his lifetime.
Bill's early career included various sales positions and a very proud stint with the Adirondack Railway when it was reconstructed for the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid.
Bill worked for over 25 years as a Regional Sales Representative for Heidelberg USA, the largest global manufacturer of printing presses. His career took him to the Midwest, where he excelled in his sales role and was the top regional sales representative for numerous years and the go-to mentor and product specialist for many of his colleagues.
Bill is survived by his two children, Paul Rose, of Houston, Texas, and Eva Rose, of Olathe, Kansas. Also surviving are a sister, Marianne Paquin, of Sherrill, New York; and two brothers, Neal Rose, of Naples, Florida, and John Rose, of Hazel Crest, Illinois; as well as two nephews, William Ritter, Jr., of Port Leyden, New York, and Steven Ritter, of Bozeman, Montana; and two nieces, Jennifer Rose, of Laurel, Maryland, and Jessica Rose Malm, of St. Louis, Missouri. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a Memorial Service to honor Bill's memory, held later in the year, with burial planned in New York at the convenience of the family.
