John, I was so sorry to hear about Gail, my memories of her when Chris was a little boy are so vivid in my mind. It's hard to believe that it was 37 years ago!. She always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. Cherish her memory and she will never be far away!

Ms. Brock, was Heaven sent and now Heaven has called her back. Such a gifted teacher she was, my son blossomed from a discouraged "C" math student, to an exceptional "A" math whiz, who is now in the US Navy utilizing those very skills. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of this family.

We heard Saturday that Gail wasn't doing well. So sorry for your loss. She was truly one of the most special people we've ever met. Her smile could light up a room. Also I am sorry that I didn't know of her passing until it was too late to come and pay our respects. Please know that we are with you in our thoughts and prayers.

Gail was a light in this world of darkness, always thinking of others before herself. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She touched the lives of so many young people. She was the best math teacher I have ever worked with. It was an honor and a privilege to work along side her in the classroom for which I will be always grateful. Deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers, to family and friends.

My mother, Georgiana Kornwolf, taught with Gail many years ago when we still lived in Surry. We were delighted to cross paths again with her when I started my job at the electric cooperatives. Her gentle shining light will be greatly missed...Mary Howell
