Dear Tony, Virginia, Eric and all of the Conti family,

We are so sorry for your loss of your beloved Helen. I will always recall Helen for the effusive hugs she gave, no matter where we met. One favorite memory was in Oct, 2010, when we, as couples, met at the annual Scottish Festival. Helen expressed her delight that Tony had retired and how happy she was that they could enjoy more time together.

On a precious day I spent with her during her illness, she talked lovingly about Tony, Eric, Virginia, and all the people who had called her and told her how much she meant to them. As we talked, we also watched old movies. Helen told me that she thought "It's a Wonderful Life" is the best movie ever made and that she probably knew every word of it. We don't think Helen just knew the words to "It's a Wonderful Life", we think she lived it. We are proud to have known her, and hope you will accept our sincere condolences.

I will remember Helen as an always smiling, dressed to the nines, beautiful woman who lit up every room, and touched the hearts of everyone she met.
When Chris and I visited their Williamsburg home with Virginia and her family, Helen welcomed my husband and I with open arms and was the epitome of a graceful host.
Virginia - as one of my oldest and most dearest friends, almost every childhood memory of you and I involves Helen. Painting our faces like cats (those photos are priceless), teaching me how to eat spaghetti with a spoon, cooking us chocolate chip pancakes after our sleepovers, performing The Miracle Worker at the table (you both deserve Oscars for that!!!)
Tony and Virginia, you are both in my heart and prayers.
I will miss Helen very much. When I think of her it will always bring a smile to my face.
Love always, Lesley
