Sweet Jack and Beautiful Betty have been a staple in our life. Memories of Jack playing the piano and singing loudly in the evening are precious to us. There couldn´t be a frown in the room when Uncle Jack entered because he´d have positivity to share with everyone. He was never in short of love to share with all and our whole family felt this constantly from both Jack and Betty. We are praying for peace and comfort for Betty, family and all loved ones that will feel his earthly absence. We rejoice with the ones in heaven who get to be wrapped in his hugs again who have been waiting for him to be Home. Thank you Betty for the welcoming family you and Jack have always been to all of us. We love you and support you!

Dear sweet Betty, I was only privileged to meet Jack a few times but from listening to stories of Jack relayed by you, Susan and Larry, I feel a real acquaintance and connection to Jack. I´ve also heard the love in your voice and have seen the softness of your eyes twinged with sparks when you speak of your precious sweetheart. I know your pain is heavy, his physical presence is missed and nothing will change this, but rest in knowing that he loved you just as much as you loved him and he did not make a decision to leave you, but instead was allowed to go to God!! Gone to be with God the Holy Father and to Christ his Savior! Hallelujah!! I rejoice for Jack and weep with you. My prayers continue for you, sweet Betty. Love you, Kim.

To Betty and the rest of the Jack Benson Family,
you have our thoughts, love and prayers.
Jack has been a pleasure and joy for us to know. I, Dudley always enjoyed visiting with Jack and we had a lot of good laughs together. Jack was "always" pleasant to be around. My only regret is I had not known both Jack & Betty 50 years ago!
We both wish we had known both Jack & Betty many years before we did. Great Christian people and friends!
Our love and prayers to you all, Dudley and Vivian

I count myself blessed to have known such a wonderful man. His kindness is always the thing stands out in my mind and made a big impact on me as a teen. Love and condolences to you all.

One of the definitions of joy could be "Jack Benson". He expressed joy, he modeled joy, he even looked like joy. The smile was the first indication, but through conversation and actions he exhibited his joy of service, commitment, and dedication. He created joy in himself and instilled joy in others through his selflessness and kindness, compassion, and caring for others. Jack brought joy into our lives, and we rejoice in his decision to serve God and serve others to His glory.
We love both Jack and Betty. May God bless the family with peace and comfort.

Jack and Betty provided wonderful hospitality for me after heart surgery in 1997 - needing a place to stay. Jack always had that great smile and encouraging word for all. He is missed. Love in the Lord.

Jack and Betty will always be one of my favorite couples as well as indiviuals. Generosity. Kindness. Loving. Devoted. God like. Christians. Only a few words to describe each of them. Jack loved God, Betty, his children and grandchildren, his friends, his brothers and sisters in Christ. I loved sitting in his living room during small group studies listening to his careful thoughts as well as his wonderful singing voice. Jack will be missed by all who knew him, but we take great comfort in knowing he now lives with God and we be reunited with him at some time

Dearest Betty and Family,
So very sorry for the loss of this dear precious man... Our hearts grieve with you and rejoice too that he is now with his Dear Lord! We know he is happy above all we can begin to understand. STILL...the loss is hard. It is our prayer that the Father will be with you, that you may Feel His Love and Presence as deeply as you Feel your Sorrow and that you may KNOW His Comfort as Deeply as your Need...
We love you so very much, Larry and Susan

What can I say about our Precious "Jackson", my pet word for him, that most people don't already know? He was one of the most real people I have ever known. AND he definitely walked to a different drummer than most. He was always so enamored with simple things in life that it didn't take much to keep him smiling. And of course, everyone knew and loved that contagious smile and hardy laugh! He got caught up in whatever was happening to OR around him. If he watched a movie or television show, he was in the middle of the action, swinging fists and all. We loved traveling with Jack and Betty, they were sooo easy to be with. You were always free to be yourself and they were the same. Of course, we had to watch Jack! We might go sightseeing somewhere and notice we no longer had him with us. Something would capture his interest and off he'd go without one word. Sometimes it was infuriating but mostly, it was one of his endearing traits. You couldn't stay upset with him long because he was clueless about why we would be so.
As long as we knew him, I never heard him speak ill of anyone and he showed mercy to those who needed it.
Then, there was his beautiful tenor voice! Not only were Jackson and Betty some of our dearest friends, we were blessed to live with them for several months while having a house built. Jackson would wake early, shower, dress and walk down the hall singing to the top of his lungs. Trust and Obey was a favorite. It was beautiful AND QUITE MADDENING!!! (ha) Everyone else would've been sound asleep, but...he was filled with joy and just couldn't hold it in!
I reminded him on one such morning that there is a passage in Psalms that says "if you greet your neighbor loudly in the morning, he will curse you!!!" Honest, look it up, it's really there! :)
Like I said, our Precious Jackson was real! He was dear to our hearts! I miss him deeply but truly know that one day, we will ALL walk the streets of heaven and he can sing as long and loudly as he desires! Love you Jackson!
Till we meet in eternity...
