Terry & family I was so sorry to hear this. I worked for him & Jack for 15 years. He was a very good boss. He knew that my husband & I were renting & wanted to buy a house he told me that one was going on the market & offered to help me make the down payment & take it out of my check each month. I still live in that house 56 years later. I will never forget him. My sympathy to all of you.

Terry, Jay, and Lee:
God bless you and know that we are among many who share in your grief. Jim was a wonderful husband and father and friend, associate and mentor to many. We remember with smiles as we recount the purchase of our property in Queens Lake with his help and guidance and his invitation to our first QL Day when visiting from Berlin. His wit, good humor and super friendly demeanor were his trademarks. Bonnie and I count it a blessing to have shared a part of his life.

Terry, Jay & Lee: Our deepest sympathies go out to you for your loss. Jim was surely a wonderful husband and father as well as a friend and mentor to many. We remember him with great fondness as our first acquaintance in Queens Lake who sold us our property and invited us to our first QLDay. Later as a friend and business partner. He blessed the lives of many with his business acumen and his great sense of humor. We were among them. God bless you in your grief.

Jim Carter took a chance on a high school graduate whose college plans had gone awry, and hired me as receptionist at Benschoten and Carter in 1971. It was the best work experience I could´ve hoped for, and I´ll always be grateful to Jim, Jack and the rest of the crew there. So many great memories!

Terry, Jay and Lee, Although no words can help to ease your loss, just know that you are very close in my thoughts. Jim Carter was one whom I greatly admired and respected and I remember him with fondness and gratitude. May your fond memories of good times past, help sustain you during this time. My deepest sympathies.
