Robert Vincent Korycki

REISTERSTOWN - Robert Vincent Korycki was born in Baltimore to Vincent Korycki and Genevieve Budzich Korycki. He was the beloved husband to Martha Jean Schmidt Korycki, who predeceased him in 2014. Known to his friends as Bob, he had a wonderful, joyful life, even though he battled cancer remarkably for over 40 years. Bob grew up in Baltimore attending Mt. St. Joseph High School and graduating from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend. After graduating college, Bob went to work for the Social Security Administration where he met his wife to be and proudly served in the Maryland National Guard. A renaissance man, Bob loved to: write; garden, especially his varied flowers, vegetables and exotic roses; enjoy fine wines and foods; travel; have intellectual conversations on varied subjects; and, root for his Baltimore Orioles. Bob leaves behind many wonderful friends who loved him and will remember and miss his quips and one liners that would make you laugh until you cried. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time. In lieu of flowers, Bob would prefer contributions to the American Cancer Society.
