He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Evelyn and Everett Womack, and his brother, Jeffrey Womack. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary; son, Robert Landon Jones; daughter, Carrie Francis Womack; grandchildren, Kayla Marie Jones, and Landon Tyler Jones; two sisters, Kathy Shackmann (Richard) and Gail Deck (Walter); sister-in-law, Brenda Leftwich (Don); nieces and nephews, Aadam Alikhan (Kelly), Soraya Lane (Joe), Kacey Templeton, Jeffrey Leftwich (Autumn), Kevin Leftwich, Muffaqam Alikhan (Asiya) and a host of other family and friends. He was also an avid golfer. He directed many choirs all over the country including St. Bede's for a while; always expanding on his love of music. He loved to travel all over the world with his wife Mary. Tom spent a lot of time with his grandchildren whom he loved greatly. He had a lot of great friends and would light up any room. He enjoyed relaxing with a brew with his buddies every once in a while. He was very kind and generous and would do anything for anyone. Larger than life, he always made people laugh. He had an endearing nickname for everyone. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15 from 5-7PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA, where a Service will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 1PM. Mary, I'm very sorry for your loss of Tom. He was a great personality. The life of every gathering. I've been in Mexico since the beginning of the month and received this bad news from my son Koty. Once again I'm sad for your loss and you are in my thoughts.

Mary,
Wow, 30 years together. Sure doesn't seem like that long ago when you two first met. I'm glad Tom kept his spirit, and it sounds like you had a wonderful life of travel and fun.
Susan and I send our condolences. Please come buy sometime to visit and reminisce. We are in the same old place.

Tom, you were such a dependable and fun person to be around. Our days in the "Harmony 4 Quartet" at Desloge and in the Music Man were unforgettable. Not to mention your MP service during Tet in Vietnam. Sorry not to have connected with you over the years, but you have a family that can be well, proud of you. Thanks Tom for your inspiration and friendship.

I grew up with this kid -- grade school, high school, and college -- and look what a fine man he grew into! I am so sorry he didn't make it to our class reunion this coming Labor Day. It would have been so fun to talk to him in person again. We will all miss him so much.

Mary,
No one could tell the "Peoria" story like Tom could. Every time he told it in front of my Dad, my Dad would laugh uncontrollably. That's what I'll always remember about Tom. He could make anyone laugh or smile. He was by my side when my Dad had his first heart attack in the late 1980s. I'll never forget him comforting a scared kid, who thought he was gonna lose his Father. I wish I could be there for him like he was for me. You will be missed Tom.

"T-Woo" --- A true Friend, who always had a kind word for everyone. We enjoyed your company, our after work beers and your quick wit that would put a smile on your face for hours. We will miss your theories on Horse Racing and Golf, although I think you were only good at one of them. Your right, "America is a Beautiful Country" mainly because people like you made America Beautiful. We Love and will miss you Ole Buddy.

Tom was one of the first people I met when I came back to Williamsburg. He never met a stranger and was the most wonderful, giving, funny, interesting and amazing person to talk to. He always made our golf outings fun with his stories & comments. I feel honored and privileged to have been a friend for the last 20yrs. He will be missed more than mere words can convey.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Mary and all the family. Tom was the big brother that I never had. You and Tom were like another Aunt and Uncle to the kids when they were growing up. I will surely miss him and know you will too. But he will live on because each of us has a little piece of him in us- it was just the T Wo way to rub off some of that infectious laughter and kindness on others. All of us who knew him are better people because Tom had crossed our paths. Kayla and Landon will always remember him because he made time to make memories with them, just like he did will all of us. "Another day in paradise". "America is a beautiful country". Tom's quotes and he lived them. We are here for you if you need anything- just let us know.
