Ellianna "Elli" Mae Rieber June 8, 2001- August 25, 2023 Ellianna "Elli" Mae Rieber was born on June 8, 2001, in Omaha, Nebraska to Jason Vaughn and Tina Lea (Spears) Rieber. Being the first-born girl, Jason and Tina chose the name Ellianna, which means "My God has answered me." She was a true blessing to their family. She passed away on August 25, 2023, in Omaha, Nebraska. Elli loved living on the farm with all her animals and pets in rural Griswold, Iowa. She attended the Griswold Community Schools and graduated with the class of 2019. After graduation she worked as a special events coordinator, dietitian aide at a nursing home, attendant at Cubby's and Rocket Car Wash and an Assistant Manager at Casey's. Elli was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Griswold. During school she was involved in barrel racing, dance, softball, basketball, and volleyball. She loved all animals including horses, dogs, cats, squirrels, birds, bunnies, and baby fawns. She enjoyed outside activities such as fishing and riding 4-wheelers in the mud. She wrote poetry and painted on canvas. She had to have her makeup, nails and hair done just right. She also enjoyed watching movies, Heartland, Spirit, and Hannah Montana were a few of her favorites. Elli was preceded in death by her uncles Gerald Rieber and Jerry Saab. Elli will be sadly missed by her parents Jason and Tina Rieber of Shenandoah formerly of Griswold; two brothers, that she looked up to, Colten Williamson (Diana) of Oregon and Drake Rieber of Elliott, IA; grandparents Tom and Ann Spears of Shenandoah, IA and Merlyn and Sharon Rieber of Griswold, IA; aunts and uncles Carol (Tom) Shough of Essex, IA, Cherie St. Louis of Magnolia, TX, Connie (Frank) Jones of Cumberland, IA, Brenda Rieber-Saab of Eureka Springs, AR and Diane Rieber of Macedonia, IA; cousins Nina Friis (Andrew Sanborn) of Ham Lake, MN, Aimee (Austin) McKenzie of Magnolia, TX, Ashlee (Layton) Mitchell of Montgomery, TX, Conor Friis of Omaha, NE, Chad (Kris) Jones of Massena, IA, Erik (Sara Beth) Jones of Massena, IA, Ashley (Chad) DiMauro of Bellevue, NE, Colton (Amber) Jones of Massena, IA, and Tiara (Javon) Harris of Independence, MO, and many more loving cousins, friends and her 3 beloved dogs (Zina, Phoenix and Charlotte). Celebration of life funeral service was held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Wabash Memorial Chapel in Shenandoah. Visitation with the family was held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Griswold, Iowa and a second visitation with the family was held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Wabash Memorial Chapel in Shenandoah.
