Harriette Corrine Greedy was born during a tornado on Aug. 4, 1923 to Floyd and Marguerite Greedy at their farm home east of Sidney. She loved growing up around the Greedy families with her three brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles surrounding her.
On Jan. 18, 1944, Harriette married Lt. Dale Scott whom she had met while teaching country school in Walnut Township. In 1945, he and Harriette moved to a farm north of Farragut. After Dale's death in 1986, Harriette continued to enjoy farm life until 2001 when she left the farm to move to Huxley, Iowa near her son Russell. Later, she moved to South Dakota to be close to her daughter Linda.

Harriette lived a full and active life. She was involved in her children's school activities, 4-H clubs, The Happy Thought Club, O.N.O. and Farragut Community Club. She and Dale were active members of the Farragut United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a part of the "Dancing Grannies," and shared her piano playing with all who would listen and sing along.
She and Dale discovered the fun of golfing in 1965. From then on, they spent many hours on the Fremont County Golf Course with their friends. Later, they enjoyed traveling around the country and playing different golf courses along the way.
