Agnes Frances "Granny" Sojak

1920 - 2018

La Feria, Texas - Agnes Frances (Granny) Sojak, 98, passed away peacefully at Casa Grace Assisted Living in La Feria, TX, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Agnes was born on March 4, 1920 to John and Margaret Lowenstein Martin in Houston, TX. She lived in Houston until she married August Sojak. In 1950, August and Agnes moved to Rio Hondo, TX where they settled and raised a family. In 1985, she moved to Harlingen, TX and resided there until the last four years of her life. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, August, and a daughter-in-law, Pat Robinson. She is survived by her son, Leroy Robinson of Houston, her daughters, Mary Ellen (Dale) Garrett of Harlingen, Shirley (Don) Vogel of Mercedes, and Betty (Wesley) Warrington of Harlingen. She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (Oscar) Riojas, Sheri (Jeremy) Bonds, Dustin (Mandi) Vogel, Lee (Monique) Robinson, Brandon Robinson and nine great grandchildren. is survived by her sister, Bertha Mae (Chester) Crummel of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thanks to all the caregivers at Casa Grace Assisted Living for all their exceptional love and support and United Home Health Care (Cecilia) for their medical care. A special thanks to Mary Lou Caraveo for bringing communion and reciting the word of God. Also, a Big thank you to Kindred Hospice for assisting the family during their time of need. A 10:00a.m. memorial service will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito Texas on Saturday, March 31, 2018. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to charity of your choice. Granny, we love you!
