Angelita Solis Obituary
LA FERIA, TX. -- Angelita R. Solis 92, of La Feria, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at VBMC with her family at her side.
She was born December 7, 1922 to Agustin Ruiz, Sr. and Felicitas H. Ruiz.
Angelita was preceded in death by her loving parents her first husband, George Castaneda in 1956 and her husband Fidel Solis in December 11, 1990. Sisters Eufemia Ruiz, Anita Guerra, Josefa Ruiz, Concepcion Cantu, Maria R. Solis and brother Agustin Ruiz, Jr. and nephews Enrique Cabrera, Juan R. Anzaldua.
She is survived by her children; daughter Lupe(Hector) Salinas, Xavier Solis, Carmelita (Frank) Meza and Susana Solis. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Xavier Solis Jr., Michelle Solis, Melissa Solis, Bobby Meza, Rochelle Meza, Adrian Meza and Emmanuel Solis; and by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who was "Mama" to all of them.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, December 27, 2013 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M., with a recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 o'clock Friday evening.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2013, departing the Rudy Garza Palms Chapel at 1:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Committal services will follow at Solis Cemetery in La Feria, Texas.
Honored to be pallbearers are her grandchildren, Bobby Meza, Adrian Meza, Xavier Solis Jr. and nephews David Briones, Juan M. Briones and Michael Salinas. She made a difference in a lot of people's lives and will never be forgotten.

For six years I woke up and seen you. . Spent most of the day with you. . Through good and hard times .. we put up with each other. .dr appts..therapy..check ups..I got frustrated at times and you would get mad at me. Yet we still put up with each other. .
