Elvia B. Charles
HARLINGEN, TX. - In loving memory of Elvia B. Charles, 92, was born on October 1, 1917 in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico and entered eternal rest on Friday, April 30, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos, of 54 years and is survived by her eight children: Elvia (Jose) Morales of Chicago, Illinois, Josefa (Frank) Harvey of San Antonio, Texas, Luis Charles of Dallas Texas, Amalia Charles of Harlingen, Texas, Beatrice Marrero, Gloria Charles, Oscar (Martha) Charles, and Patricia Charles Palmer of Chicago, Illinois,; also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. tonight.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 3, 2010. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace at 1:30 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Interment will then follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery in Harlingen, Texas.
