Filomena Diaz Obituary
LATINA, TX. -Filomena F. Diaz, 94, entered into God's Kingdom on Monday, March 3, 2008 at her residence in Rio Hondo, surrounded by his loving family. She was born to Mr. Nasario and Mrs. Juanita G. Falcon, May 4, 1913 in San Benito, Texas.
Filomena is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aniceto Dias Sr. and her son Aniceto Diaz Jr.
She is survived by 6 daughters; Elidia Mares, Elida (Felix+) Ramirez, Elvia (Alex) Chavez, Maria Elena (Alfonso+) Ramos, Evila (Arnold) Argullin and Julia Diego, 5 sons; Nasario Diaz, Felipe Diaz, Daniel (Edna) Diaz, Gilberto (Rachael) Diaz and Elias (Lupe) Diaz, 41 grandchildren, 70 great-grand-children and 47 great great-grandchildren.
Honored to serve, as pallbearers are Steven Argullin, Frankie Munoz, Daniel Diaz, Bernardo Ramirez, Abel Mares and George Atkinson.
Honorary pallbearers are Esequiel Diaz, Rey Diaz, Roberto Diaz, David Ramos, Roberto Ramos, Felix Ramirez, Manuel Atkinson, David Diaz and Rene Cazares.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Maria Elena Ramos for all the years of care given to our mom. Special thanks to Freddy Elizondo from Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home in Harlingen and Albert Vega from Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit from 1 PM to 9 PM with a rosary recited on Thursday evening at 7 PM.
Funeral services will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church at 10 AM on Friday, March 7, 2008. Burial will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery in Las Yescas, Texas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Harlingen, Texas.

We are so sorry for your loss. Grandma as we all called her will be missed always. I guess when we lost our grandparents, we kind of adopted her as our grandma and loved her dearly.
