Gordon Vinson Obituary
SAN BENITO, TX.-Gordon T. Vinson, 57, of San Benito passed away on July 28, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Gordon was a member of First Methodist Church of San Benito; he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era; he was employed with Eyear Optical in Harlingen for 4 years; he had a passion and love for music and playing the guitar.
Gordon is preceded in death by his mother, Alice M. Vinson.
He is survived by his wife, Treva D. Vinson of San Benito; his daughters, Tasha Turner of Evansville, IN and Amy Juday of Ft. Wayne, IN; his 3 grandsons, Chase Tate, Kaiden Turner and Brayden Juday; his father, Jake Vinson of San Benito; his stepmother, Connie Vinson of San Benito; his 2 brothers, Terry Vinson of Henderson, KY and Tom Vinson of Morganfield, KY; along with several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at Baptist Temple located at 1201 N. Reagan in San Benito with Pastor Harry Smith officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the memorial service by the American Legion Post 43.

Treva, We were so shocked and sorry to hear about Gordon. We will always remember him as a friendly face at Church with a great love of music - which we always wished we would hear more of. He will be greatly missed by many. We pray for extra strength for you to get through this sad time.
