Gumecinda Meza Obituary
SAN BENITO, TX -
Gumecinda G. Meza, 94, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at her residence in San Benito, Texas. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church and belonged to the Sacred Heart Society, as well as, The Vela Perpetual Society.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Meza; her father, Calistro Galvan; her mother, Dominga L. Galvan; and her son, Miguel Meza.
Gumecinda is survived by her children, Jesus ``Tae Nam' Meza, Cristina Mercado, Elida (Juan) Mendiola, Janie (Albino) Perez, Jose (Yolanda) Meza, Alberto (Anna) Meza, Guadalupe (Arturo) Flores, Carlos (Ana) Meza; daughter-in-law, Mary Meza; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. with the Holy Rosary to be prayed on both evenings at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with Father Ignacio Luna as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
