Jacinta Cordero Obituary

Harlingen - Jacinta A. Cordero, 88, of Harlingen passed through Heaven's Gates on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1936, in Corsicana, Texas to Bernardo S. and Guadalupe Araujo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Enedina Gonzalez and Maria F. Cooper, brothers Santos Araujo and Primitivo Araujo.

Jacinta is survived by her daughters Lupita (Reynaldo) Yanez and Janie (Malcolm) Gonzlez, son Ramon Cordero, granddaughters Veronica Yanez and Rachel Yanez, great grandchildren Yanette Eva Ayala and Cristian James Garcia, siblings Agustina Gonzalez and Bernardo Araujo, Jr., numerous nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Lydia Araujo.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 15, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas. Funeral service will begin Tuesday, April 16, 2024, departing Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 10:00 AM in Harlingen, Texas with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.
