Juan D. Renteria
HARLINGEN, TX. - Juan D. Renteria, 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Renteria is survived by his loving wife Paulina Cerda Renteria; his children, Gloria (Esteban), Juan R. (Laura), Sylvia, Rolando (Veronica), Ray (Patty), Alicia (Leonel); his grandchildren, great grandchildren and three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Renteria was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Trinidad Renteria.
He had a great love for God, his family and his livestock. He was an avid horsemen and outdoorsmen with an extensive knowledge of palm trees
A very special thank you to Dr. Rick Bassett for his friendship and kindness toward our father. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ghaddar, Dr. Ernst, Dr. Smith and to the Sandi Jo Funk Hospice Staff for the special care they provided our father and to our relatives and friends for their prayers and support.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006 10 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Juan R. Renteria, Rolando J. Renteria, Reynaldo G. Renteria, Ricardo O. Gonzalez, Esteben Guillen and Leonel Solis. Honorary pallbearers include Manuel Cerda, Isidro Renteria, Jose Renteria and Ramon Renteria.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, (956) 423-3636.

I am sorry to knew about the death of this man. I knew him and his family for a brief period in time. He has left us but not forgotten.
